Alyth Choral Society delivers dazzling world première
The Alyth Choral Society gave a summer concert on 6 July in which the audience was treated to the world première of Psalm 118: Give Thanks to the Eternal by Julian Dawes.
Another new work in the programme was a re-imagining of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons by Joanna Forbes L’Estrange — A Season to Sing in which the choir was challenged to not only sing, but also perform actions to reflect the various seasons.
Visual effects were also added by the ballerina, Tamara Hinson. Her dance movements, inspired by Vivaldi’s music, were magical.
